A little over two weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting Tim’s High School Senior portraits at Elizabeth Park in Trenton Michigan. The weather was bad for most of the day, but the clouds parted and the sun popped out and we were able to get’er done!
For this shoot I used a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 HSM lens as well as a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens. I usually wouldn’t shoot a portrait with a fisheye lens, but it was fun to experiment with especially when Tim had his trombone slide resting on my shoulder. Here are a few of my favorites…
Enjoy!
I would like to thank Don Van Buhler for helping me during this session. As always, it greatly appreciated.

This month’s Livingston County Photographers Group assignment is Barns. On October 4th 2009 myself and 3 other members photographed a barn in Brighton Michigan. We arrived an hour or so before sunset to set up some strobes in and around the barn. I shot the barn with a Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Sigma 18-55mm and Lensbaby with double glass element and pinhole lenses.
The following images are a few of my favorites.

Enjoy…
I would like to thank Traci Carulli for helping me during this photo session.

What the heck is that you may be asking yourself???
Take a few minutes to watch Jeremny Cowart’s video that was recently post on Scot Kelby’s Blog:

I think it’s a wonderful idea, and my photo club will be taking photos at the “Woman’s Resource Center of Livingston County” on 12/12/09.
I would encourage all photographers to take part and do something in your local community. Visit the Help-Portrait website for more information: http://www.help-portrait.com/

Here are a few sneak peek selections from a recent High School Senior photo session.
I had the pleasure of shooting Brenna’s High School Senior portraits a few weeks ago in Northville. I had a BLAST shooting this session and Mill Race Village never seems to run out of good spots to shoot!
For the second time, I was able to experiment with what I’m calling “Faces of You” photos…I took a series of photos while Brenna was making different faces, laughing at inside jokes with her Mom and doing the proverbial “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” poses.
Enjoy!
I would like to thank Traci Carulli and Don Van Buhler for their help during this session. As always, it’s greatly appreciated.

Here are a few sneak peek selections from a recent High School Senior photo session.
I had the pleasure of shooting Leah’s High School Senior portraits a few weeks ago in Ann Arbor. The weather that day wasn’t the best, but we were lucky enough to get our session done in between some rain storms. I had a wonderful time shooting in one of my favorite cities, and I think you can Leah did too!
Enjoy!
I would like to thank Traci Carulli and Don Van Buhler for helping me with Leah’s session.
