On April 30, 2011 I had the pleasure to photograph Michelle and Don’s engagement portraits for their upcoming August wedding. We met up at the Michigan State University’s Horticulture Gardens in Lansing and had a great time!

We scheduled the session back in late January and at that time I would have bet money that Spring would have been in full bloom by April 30th. Boy was I wrong! We’ve had a very long Winter this year in Michigan and I would say that the blooms were about 3 weeks behind where they should have been by late April. Mother Nature must be better behaved when I photograph their wedding in August. Hopefully it won’t snow
